The successor to the Yokohama ADVAN A048, the new ADVAN A052 is the ultimate semi-slick tyre approved for road use. With a tread inspired by tarmac rally tyres, this tyre has better cornering performance as well as highly superior grip and handling whatever the weather conditions. The ADVAN A052 tyre admirably fulfils all applicable European noise regulations (R117-02).

Excellent tires, super grip on dry
Great tyres, I mostly use them when it's wet and cold during slalom and hill climb races.

In my opinion, more grip than the A048 in M compound, but also a bit more wear. Overall very satisfactory.
Excellent grip on dry surfaces, even when cold. Surprisingly high grip on wet surfaces for a semi-slick. However, be cautious on drenched roads = aquaplaning at speeds > 90-100km/h. Tyres reached the legal wear limit at 8800 km. The remaining 1.6mm will be left on the track! Not too bad for TW 200 (soft-medium) rubber, especially since I consistently push them hard on small, winding roads with bumpy and degraded surfaces. These tyres are definitely superior to Michelin PS Cup 2, Bridgestone Potenza Race, and Pirelli Trofeo on wet roads, equivalent in terms of dry grip (difficult to distinguish on the road, you would need to time them on the same day and on a track), excellent feel, progressive and reassuring breakaway. As with all semi-slicks, you need to monitor them to ensure they are at the correct pressure, otherwise, you risk destroying them. I have just ordered a new set.
