Description
The IceGuard IG53 is one of the new generation winter tires from the Yokohama brand (launched in 2019). The rubber compound is specially designed for snow, frost, or wet roads thanks to super absorbent micro bubbles that continuously repel water and ensure perfect grip on all surfaces without the risk of aquaplaning. The central strip of the tread is wide to improve the contact surface and provide stability on dry pavement. Diagonally arranged micro-sipes further enhance performance on ice by reducing braking distance. The zigzag longitudinal grooves allow for better grip on snow or ice. The rolling resistance is low, for better acoustic comfort and better fuel economy.
